7 p.m. Screening of "Struggles in Steel: A story of African-American Steelworkers" (1996, 85 minutes), followed by audience discussion with Tony Buba, co-producer Raymond Henderson, sound mixer Wayne Gaines, and community respondents Jim Cavanaugh, President, South Central Federation of Labor, and Bill Franks, President, Coalition of Black Trade Unionists. Noon-1:15 p.m. "Struggles in Steel: Personal History and Documentary Filmmaking." A brown-bag lunch and informal discussion with Tony Buba, Raymond Henderson and Wayne Gaines, co-sponsored by the Multicultural Student Center.
